Yep, it's new theme time. Only this theme (foliage) isn't all that new as I've used it before.

At the moment it's not completely setup, as images are flowing over on the side... This will be fixed soon.

The blocks on the side are being re-arranged as well. Also a new block has been added on the left - a redbubble promotion widget showing off the photos I have available for sale through their site.

Go on, buy a photo or click on an ad... You know you want to. Nobody else is doing it. You could be the first.

Thanks to a nifty "subscribe" module, when someone replies to a comment that you've posted, you will now receive an email with a link to that comment.

Anyway, I had the account from when I first started drinksareon.us and since that's down for an unknown amount of time, I might as well let the account still be useful. Who know, I might get "dugg" at some point and get a couple extra thousand page views which would help the balance. Now, what would be a digg worthy post...

I've still got a few more weeks of temporary employment. The official end date is Friday 2 March, but it might go longer if they don't make up their mind about which technical officer they're going to employ. Also... Hooray for flexi-hours - I have Friday off.

Today, I started a mission that I hope to accomplish. I want my name removed from the mailing lists for credit card applications. The almost continuous stream of the half-filed out credit card application forms to countless banks and financial institutions must come to an end, at least for me. First on the chopping block is St. George. Next will be whatever one shows up next.

Finding the phone number for St George's head office was easier than I though, and asking to speak to someone in marketing about their current marketing campaign, I was put through to someone who has, as yet, not returned my call. Tomorrow, I will call their customer relations phone number and I hope I can actually speak to someone this time.

Now to lighten the mood, attached (yes, you can all attach files now ) is a PDF of a realestate.com.au page that I was linked to last week. It shows a property available for rent... Only the "property" is a goat, owned by Borat.

Well, it took awhile (3 years 25 weeks). But here's the 1000th node for my little place on the innerwebs. I wonder how long it'll take to reach 2000?

There's also been, at this point, 2782 comments. Hooray!

It's Friday night and what have I been doing? Well, tonight I updated drupal to version 5.

So far, there's only one bug that is (unfortunately) visible to all. The images that are shown on the front page are being shown at their full size rather than their smaller thumbnails - a bug that has already been reported. If anyone notices anything funky going on that shouldn't be let me know.

Meanwhile, what comes with this update? Well... Modules are much easier to installer, which means new toys for everyone to play with for a few minutes until they get sick of them (I give it 7 minutes or less). So expect some new things to click on soon.

Well, I'm back again. Now on paid hosting... So no more downtime.

Some things that I'll need to do...

• Change the header and footer image.
• Tweak some shit to get drupal working just right.
• Add some content to get people looking here again.
• I think it's time I finally installed the smiley's module again.
• Write up a post about things that have happened during the missing time.
• Setup drinksareon.us with the new host.

Also, anything else that needs doing I'll probably have to do as well.

Been awhile since I wrote any words that appeared here, not sure why that is... I suppose I felt the odd photo that I put online would be enough. But every so often you've just got to rant.

Poker has pretty much been down hill since I came 4th. The week after, I didn't place. The week after that I came 9th, and the last two weeks now I've not placed. I guess my luck has run out as I'm not really doing anything wrong with my playing style - cards just aren't coming my way. I'm not sure if I need a break from poker, or if I need to somehow play more. A break would hurt my standings at the venue. But when you're continuing to get only 10 points just for showing up, you aren't going to make it far up the ladder.

Well now, been gone awhile. The few people that actually visited this place without prodding from me are probably long gone.

So what happened? Well in an attempt to upgrade the hardware that our sites are on, the main HD took the opportunity to fry itself. By fried itself, I mean... a month of this site is now gone, and drinks? Well, lets just say right now that doesn't even exist anymore.

So that's that. No use stomping around, it's not going to bring back the 1s and 0s. Lets get on with me posting photos, and ranting about shit.

Oh, and better backup procedures are being implemented.

In an effort to keep up with fancy things, the software that runs this site has been updated from 4.6.5 to 4.7.0. Chances are you'll see a few things wrong (such as many missing photos) but things will eventually be back to normal. There aren't many new things that you'll all notice right away, but I'll be installing a few extra modules to add new features over the coming weeks.
