food stuffs

In an effort to do my part to keep up foreign relations, an old friend and myself decided last night that we're going to send each other some food stuffs that can only be found in our respective countries.

Mikey-San is going to send me some fancy stuff from the US, and I'm going to send him some food... Well, basically only Vegemite. As that's the only product I can think of that can only be found here.

Does any one have an suggestions as to what else I can send him?

I don't think they'd arrive in the US in one piece. They'd be all smashed up.

Oh contrare, my good friend. I know quite well that if you send those tim tams in a box (with other food items) they will certainly get there as they should be. I know someone who sent them to the states a few times over a few months and there were never any complaints.

As for other suggestions, I'm still racking my brains to find out.

Maybe healthy food...I heard they dont have (or just chose not to eat) much of that over there.

Back to you when I get some answers.

As for foreign stuff I know that you can't get violet crumble in many other countries. It's rarely exported because we just gobble them all up...Yum, Yum.

Mate you wont even need a box, stick a stamp on the bloody thing and it should be right to travel.

maybe even Jam (cause they call it jelly right?)

you could also so try a kiwi fruit, not too sure on how to send that one :)

There's a place in Burwood that seels that kinda stuff, i dont know why you ould bother, but hey there it is. it kinda figures aswell, every thing in the shop is under $5, i think. cheap anyway.

I'm not sure the pavlova egg thing would get through customs, with the white powder in it that could be mistaken for something else in the xray machines.

And he's already scarred of trying real Vegemite, I'm not going to send Promite as well.

But a lamington recipe can be included.

So, that leaves the box (so far) filled with:

  • Vegemite
  • Tim Tams
  • Violet crumble
  • blue wife beater

    It didn't end up happening, unfortunately.

    I did send a jar of vegemite to someone who helps me import PS3 games though. But as far as I'm aware, he's yet to open the jar as the contents is scary looking.
