Detail on the moon!
Submitted by doughnut on November 14, 2005 - 1:07pm.
100% image size, just cropped to 600x400.
This was with a 18-55mm lens... Yet to try it with the 75-300 lens.
the moon looks really cool
Submitted by DcBob on November 14, 2005 - 6:26pm.the moon looks really cool there, although the light pollution (looks like that from the pic at least) and mb the lens and the clouds make the pic little but blurry. (and maybe the zoom did that also)
you should really try to get a photo like that in a clear sky in pitch black out in the countryside where light pollution is minimal. Here in iceland i got the setting for that kind of pic here home in Iceland but i lack the photography skills and a decent camera.
although, really cool photo you got there, and all the previous photos, i love those photos, keep them coming.
PS: i've added you to the RSS feed bookmark thingy in safari, so now i will be a daily reader of your blog.

That's clouds around the moon, no pollution as this image was taken in the 'burbs. The halo effect is from the light bouncing off the moon and coming through the cloud cover.
This was a 600x400 crop from the original 3456x2304 image. It makes a nice wallpaper. Hehe.

Thanks man... I'm enjoying getting back into this hobby, and I've been updating more regularly which you'll find useful with the RSS feed. Oh, and add an avatar to your profile here... before I add one for you. Hehe.
