Clearly I've got a lot to say, it's been nearly 20 days since the last update to this... place.

I get my hands on GTA:SA in a few hours (after sleeping, then waking up... In that order). As well as a fancy new PS2. EB had a deal going to trade in your old PS2, 3 games and $99 and get a new slim line one. And because (when I need to be) I'm a friendly bastard, I got mine for $79.

Don't look at me like that, I'm not stupid enough to trade one PS2 in for just another one. My old one didn't play DVD-Video's all the way through. Horribly annoying.

Camera hunting sucks. Every camera seem to find that I like, I seem to come across more reasons not to get it. Sony DSC F828 has too much freakin' noise, Nikon CoolPix 8700 is not comfortable to hold... Canon EOS 300D may just be the best choice, even though it's a digital SLR, not just a point a shoot camera. I'd like to get the 300D, but it's a lot to learn and it comes with a not-great lens, and lenses are expensive to buy.

You should definitely get a digital SLR. It is a lot to learn, but it is worth it. And I'm sure you can set it to full auto and use it as a point and shoot while you're still learning the manual stuff. But yeah, if you want to take awesome pictures then an SLR gives you way more control and is a lot of fun. Plus it's digital so you can see when you've gone wrong (that is the big problem with traditional SLRs).

But lenses are so expensive. And the one that comes as part of the 300D "enthusiast kit" is quite weak. After reading about aperture and the like, you come to realise this.
