What the difference between ipod touch 8gb and iphone 8gb? Beside the fact that the iphone can call I was wondering why the ipod touch cost more than the iphone. I know they're expensive but the internet and movies is something I really wanted.

To buy outright, an iPhone 8GB is $719AU.

An iPod Touch is only $268AU.

iPhones are often appear to be "free" because they come with a 24 month contract to a mobile carrier.
