England In a nut shell

Submitted by Full Stomach on October 29, 2007 - 10:13pm.

This is a get ready post, 'cause I think I've almost got the energy to sit down and write stuff about my trip to the mother land. But... Not right now...

Though it is a shame I didn’t write this earlier, cause the memory was a lot clearer then. But... Hell... I reckon I can still bang out a story or two.

Maybe I’ll set the scene:

One Aussie bloke... Namely me... On the 31st of August set out to conquer the WORLD!!! Muhahahaha... Nah actually that's lie.

I left for the mother land (England). The plane trip was split up into 2 segments, a 14hr one to Dubai (I think.. or 18hrs I cant remember), and then a 7 hour one to Heathrow. That wasn’t too bad, the guy I sat next to for most of the trip was cool... and I can’t remember who I sat next to going to England... So... They were probably boring. The best thing about flying... the Food... yup I said it, the food.

The food was awesome, I slept, woke up.. walah food, slept some more, more food. In fact, I almost felt that every time I fell asleep, I would get food. So that was kind of cool. So landing in Dubai was cool, got breakfasts on the way in, and then on the way out... man 2 breakfasts... that was cool.... from my travels, I realised that air ports are a bit of a strange thing, no matter what time you are there, there is always people there. People arriving, people leaving, some people looking like they woke up on the wrong side of Big Momma and others... a hell of a lot better then that.

Arriving in England, my sister, and friend of here's from work had come to pick me up. I walk out the doors and stand behind her. as she turns around she looks at me not recognising me looks back away... wow nice huh... good to see you too. But nah can’t blame her, having a big bushman’s beard might have been the cause =D, though it was only a split second before she realised it was me. And bam.. England...

And the end of this part... Oh and congratulations to you if you finished reading all this post. Ill try to condense my 1month holiday into a few less and well connected paragraphs next time =D

Cheers
