Same Answer For Two Different Questions

I've started running. No, not because someone is chasing me. I thought it would be a good way to kill time and (hopefully) weight. But that story is for another time..

The track that I go running on is around 3 sports fields that are behind a public school. To get to this path I have to walk through about 200m of grass and dirt. Usually this isn't a problem, but in recent times it's been raining a fair bit and this grass and dirt has turned to mud and mush. Not cool. Last week, I called my local Council to request a path to be put in. Today I received a call back regarding my request.

Speaking to the young lady, she let me know that she had been out to inspect the area, describing exactly where a path should go. Clearly understanding the issue. Continuing to explain that since it was near a school and there's a worn out path already visible showing it receives frequent use it would be given a higher placing on the list of paths to be completed. Unfortunately, they've already spent their budget for this financial year. So while my path will get done it won't be until later in the year when they get more money.

I'm cool with this... Something is going to be done to solve my issue, and I understand their circumstances.

Later this same day, I put a request into our system at work to get a garbage bin placed near the bus stop I use of an afternoon. The reasoning? There's an unbelievable amount of garbage simply left on, under and around the bus shelter by people passing or getting on the bus. It's disgusting to have to wait for a bus near a half eaten hamburger from the nearby Hungry Jacks, or half a dozen beer bottles or empty soft drink bottles. All I want is a bin near the shelter. I know that not everyone will use it, but at least some might.

The answer that I received about this request? They've spent all their budget for street tins this year so there won't be one installed until next year. Unbelievable.

Some days you just can't win.

Well good on you for being

Well good on you for being active and actually contacting them. I'd agree its probably a standard response, then again they possibly don't get alot of money for these things.

Either way good work and i'll believe it when i see a photo!
